Alana is an HR Executive with 25+ years of HR experience and a passion for human resources and learning.
Alana is currently the HR Director, Global Manufacturing at Methanex with oversight for human resources for six countries. She has worked in executive HR positions at Angostura & Nestle and also as an HR Business Partner in the United Kingdom as well as early career positions at the Royal Bank of Trinidad & Tobago.
She has an MA in Human Resource Management from the University of West London and a BSc in Sociology & Management from the University of the West Indies. She is also a Certified Member of the British Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, CIPD.
Alana is now a Member of the Board of Directors of Angostura Holdings Ltd and serves as the Chairman of the HR Committee. She also sits on the Executive Committee for the Shelter for Battered Women in Port of Spain.
Alana is a widow, having lost her husband to cancer in 2011 and is a single mother to 16-year-old son Jaden.
