Bio
Lt Cdr Shelly Ann Marshall is currently serving as the Commander Personnel, Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard. She joined the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard as an Officer Cadet in 2005 and continued her basic military development training at the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, United Kingdom (UK) in 2006.
She has served in several operational and administrative appointments such as Ship Captain, Base Commander of the Galeota and Tobago Bases, Squadron Commander, Operations Officer, Commander Operations and Commander Marine Ship Safety and Port Facility Security Unit (MSSPFSU). She has also been deployed on several Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief Operations within the Region as well as Operational training exercises such as Operation Ventri (Venezuela and Trinidad Operational Training) and United States Coast Guard (USCG) Exercise Tradewinds.
Lieutenant Commander Marshall’s professional military education includes the Principal Warfare Officer’s Course, UK, the International Maritime Officer’s Course, USCG as well as the Caribbean Junior Command and Staff Course, Jamaica.
Lt Cdr Marshall is the holder of a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Anglia Ruskin University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Safety and Security (PGD MSS), World Maritime University
