Bio
Nadia McCarthy is the head of people & culture for bp Trinidad and Tobago. As a member of the bpTT leadership team she holds overall accountability for the human resources, culture transformation, agility and workplace modernization functions.
In her role, Nadia leads bp's people and culture agenda for the Trinidad business aimed at discovering, empowering and caring for those who work for bp. Additionally, she holds responsibility for integrating all people initiatives between the Gas & Low Carbon entity and bp’s Trinidad business to help bp achieve its purpose for people and planet.
Nadia first joined bpTT in 2007 as the Talent Advisor where she focused on building leadership bench strength and national capability. During her career with bpTT, she has held various roles within human resources and the business including Global Talent Consultant (UK), Senior Business Partner for Global Operations, Executive Assistant (EA) to the Regional President bpTT and Vice President - Human Resources, Atlantic LNG (seconded).
Prior to joining bpTT, Nadia spent three years in the manufacturing sector at Angostura Limited and five years in the Insurance and Asset Management industry at Guardian Holdings Limited where she held senior human resources positions. She is the holder of a Masters in Strategic Human Resources from the University of Westminster, London, UK and a BA in Social and Human Relations from the University of Western, Ontario, Canada.
