Mr. Fitzroy Harewood is the current President of Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited, an Ammonia manufacturing facility located in Point Lisas Industrial Estate (North), Trinidad.
Mr. Harewood has over thirty-three years of technical, managerial and leadership experience in oil, gas, power and petrochemical industries. In 1986, he joined the Trinidad and Tobago Oil Company Limited (Trintoc), a predecessor company of Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (Petrotrin), as a Project Engineer. After ten years he moved to Hydro Agri Trinidad Limited which later became Yara Trinidad Limited, as an Assistant Manager, Engineering. In that organisation, he served in various positions of increasing responsibility culminating in Production Manager, before moving on to The Power Generation Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (PowerGen) to take up the position of General Manager from December 2011 to October 2015. On 2015 November 01 he was appointed to the position of President of Petrotrin and served in that position until his resignation at the end of February 2018. On 2018 June 11, he assumed the position of President of Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited.
Mr. Harewood is a graduate of the University of the West Indies St. Augustine, with a B.Sc. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies along with an MBA from Andrews University of Berrien Springs Michigan, USA.
His professional memberships include: The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago; Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago; Society for Human Resource Management; Project Management Institute and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
