Bryan Seal, Ph.D., CIH, CSP, CHMM, REHS. Is an Assistant Professor at Indiana University of PA where he teaches industrial hygiene and environmental courses supporting the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Safety Sciences Department.
His areas of research include applied worker exposure assessments and implementation of the hierarchy of control. His experience spans three decades in the Health, Safety, and Environmental profession. He has worked in many industries prior to teaching. Bryan was the industrial hygiene supervisor for the PA OSHA Consultation Program working with small businesses of Pennsylvania.
He also worked for OSHA as the Area Director in Harrisburg and at the National Office in Washington, DC in both the Standards and the Enforcement Directorates. But perhaps his most fun (and challenging) experience came as a Navy Industrial Hygiene Officer where he served at interesting ports like the NATO base in Keflavik Iceland and aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65). He is a retired Navy Industrial Hygiene Officer.
