Bio
Ryan is the Operations Lead – Land Transportation for bp Trinidad and Tobago. In this role, he’s responsible for driving safety and implementing global land transportation strategies, identifying operational and cost efficiencies, plus prioritizing activities to embed a continuous improvement culture.
Formerly, Ryan was an Advisor – Business Services within the Logistics Services Centre of Excellence. In said position he was responsible for the development of logistics strategies geared at improving efficiency and performance for assigned regions of United Kingdom (UK) and Egypt. Other roles previously held include Marine Technical Advisor/Specialist (bpTT) and Marine Operation Specialist (bp North Sea). It’s noteworthy that Ryan is a former commissioned officer (Engineering) of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (Coast Guard) having served twelve years.
Ryan is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, having completed a Bachelor of Applied Technology (Mechanical Engineering) and an International Master of Business Development and Innovation (IMBDI). He's a World Maritime University alumnus having graduated from its Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Safety and Security.
He has a passion for data analytics, energy efficiency and agile ways of working. By profession he is a Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago. Additionally, Ryan is an Engineering Council registered Chartered Engineer and has been admitted to the UK section of the International Register for Professional Engineers.
