Ann is a Board-Certified Safety Professional with over 30 years’ experience in the field of health and safety, project management, and operations. She obtained her degree in Hazardous Materials Management and spent the first 10 years of her career in large-scale environmental clean-up projects. Ann has a track record of working effectively at all levels in organizations. At a Director level, she developed a division to respond to all scales of hazmat disasters and handle remediation following. At a Corporate level she designed and implemented plans for the control and set up of large-scale hazardous remedial projects throughout the United States. At an Operating level, she turned around, within one year, a large-scale, unprofitable project, by using her operational experience; safety leadership skills; and her ability to build effective teams. Her strong reputation for leading with safety resulted in many project extensions and winning numerous high hazard Contracts throughout the Mid-West and Eastern Regions of the US. Early in her career, Ann spent 5 years as a Heavy Equipment Operating Engineer.
She deeply understands the safety perspective of the workforce. She has since led safety professionals in oil and gas, chemical, construction, and mining, making safety an integral part of operations. Ann helps clients understand and bring about what is truly needed to achieve their desired outcomes. She has worked
with publicly traded companies to identify issues and solve problems at their root cause.

Her range of safety, operational and leadership abilities, quickly gains the trust of the workforce and has given her a highly effective skillset she has used to:

• Appointed by 3 Alaska Governors to the Alaska Safety Advisory Council - Chair since 2012
• Current VP for the Council of Professional Affairs (COPA) for the American Society of Safety
Professionals (ASSP) – Recognized with the Culbertson Award for Outstanding Service to Society
• Actively collaborates with the University of Washington in development of Leadership for Safety
• Adjunct Professor in the OSH program for UAA
• Awarded Safety Professional of the Year in 2019 – ASSP Alaska.

Ann lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her husband and 4 children where they enjoy traveling, fishing on the Kenai River, her boys’ athletic endeavors, and their careers. Her daughters have a growing family of golden doodles that make online meetings at home an adventure.
