Bio
Pettal John- Beerens is an Attorney-at- Law of approximately twenty-two (22) years standing with considerable experience in both the public and private sectors. This experience extends to international organizations such as the United Nations (FAO) and the BG Group and she is currently the Deputy Director (Legal) at the Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Ms. John-Beerens was also afforded the opportunity to perform the duties of Executive Director of the OSH Agency from September 2019- February 2020.
She began her career at the Solicitor General’s Department, Ministry of the Attorney General where she provided advice to various Ministries, Bodies and Departments of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and successfully represented the Attorney General and various bodies before the High Court and Court of Appeal. She has also served on Boards and Committees, Associations and is the creator of “Good Morning Neighbour (a nation building initiative)”.
