Eugene Tiah retired in September 2021 from the position of the Executive Chairman of the Energy & Industrial Gases Business Unit of The Massy Group and had been in that position for just over 7 years. Prior to this position he served as President of Phoenix Park Gas Processors Ltd (PPGPL) for 13 years.
He has 39 years of experience in all aspects of process plant engineering, operations and overall business management. He has held various senior executive positions in process plant operations management, project management, construction management and business development, both in Trinidad and the United States. Immediately prior to his appointment as President of PPGPL, he held the positions of Director of Special Projects for Natural Gas Liquid Marketing in Houston, Texas and System Manager – Cashion/Mustang/Hennessey System at Conoco in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was the Chairman of The Point Lisas Energy Association of CEOs (PLEA) and a former President of AmCham TT and Chairman of the Board of the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago. He is also a former director of the Boards of Arthur Lok Jack School of Business, EtecK, Tringen Limited, Yara Trinidad Ltd, PLEA, STOW, Advisory Board of the Engineering Faculty of UWI and the Advisory Board for Habitat for Humanity. He has served as chairman
of Board Committees including Finance and HR.
Mr.Tiah holds a BSc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a MSc. Degree in Production Engineering and Management, MBA in Finance and is a graduate of the Conoco University of Executive Leadership Development.
